GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.

Therapy

  • Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy is dedicated to your needs. It can be a time to better yourself, potentially learn new skills, and/or to improve the important relationships in your life. Individual therapy can vary from understanding yourself, identifying why you feel "off", digesting your history of abuse, or simply learning how to better communicate your needs to loved ones, among many other purposes. Individuals attend therapy for a multitude of reasons.

During individual work, we do allow for occasional guests to attend session upon your request; discuss this with your therapist if you are interested.

  • Couples & Family Therapy

Couples and Family Therapy aims to help you to understand one another, but also to learn new ways of communicating and potentially solve serious issues together. This is a place for both growth and acceptance within your relationships.

Your therapist may suggest that a set amount of sessions be agreed upon as the couple or family may want to allow for some time to reflect on therapy without attendance and then return again to a set amount of sessions, as needed. However, this is not required to participate in couples or family therapy.

  • Groups

Groups are kept small, and groups typically last 6 weeks. Ask your therapist about any upcoming groups that may be in the near future.
